We have a project facing thorny full text search problems. The corpus has tens of millions of pages. We are seeking someone to consult in the project who has experience in the application of full text search theory to assist in formulating search strategies. Our (unsurprising) goal is to minimize false positives consistent with a very low rate of false negatives, and to understand what kind of sample sizes will give us what degree of confidence. We are based in San Francisco, California, so someone in the Bay Area is ideal, but the work could be done remotely and would be well paid. This would be applied work within the context of a specific project, not pure theory. The deliverables would be the actual search terms and syntax, to be run on an existing full text search platform, a statistical analysis of what degrees of confidence are obtained at varying sample sizes, and and testimony about the methodology, if necessary. 数据挖掘研究院
