Dr. Jun Wu is currently working in Google as a research scientist. His research is directed at the design and implementation of algorithms for information retrieval and natural language processing. Some of his algorithms are used by millions of people everyday. He is an expert in maximum entropy modeling, statistical NLP and web search.

Lab for Natural Language Processing, and Center for Language and Speech Processing
Dissertation project (STIMULATE): Maximum Entropy Language Modeling with Non-local Dependencies, supported by NSF.I successfully incorporated topic dependencies and syntactic dependencies with N-grams in one unified framework. I proposed fast training methods for ME models. I am implementing an maximum entropy toolkit for general purposes with speed-up.

Qualification projects: Part-of-Speech Tagging directed by Prof. Brill and Topic Sensitive Language Modeling directed by Prof. Sanjeev Khudanpur and Prof. Fred Jelinek Project at AT&T was on Dialogue System directed by Dr. Roberto Pieraccini and Dr. Esther Levin . Projects in China was on Continuous Speech Recognition and Telephone Speech Recognition. Interest Areas

数据挖掘研究院 Photograph I am a Nikon fan. I have two SRC Nikon Cameras and one Nikon Digital Camera . Whenever my friends come to me for advices when they are going to buy cameras , I always suggest them to by Nikon cameras. Sometimes they argued that other brands, such as Canon , are as good, according to camera reviews. Well, I guess it′s just a taste of camera reviews .
